Collection edit: Disney and Characters

Collection edit: Disney and Characters

Disney. Let's be honest. Now that I have a kid, some of those films we used to put into the VCR are a little scarier than what I remember! Nevertheless, the beautiful characters that filled our screens and storybooks are still very much adored by our children and magical.

I am really excited to share with you our first Edit inspired by Characters. Below you can find some of my favourite items in our Disney and Characters collection, a fun Frozen-inspired snowflake experiment and two really cool items made by NZ businesses (which are in no way endorsed. I just know that supporting small NZ businesses is more crucial than ever and these are cool businesses!).

You can find direct links to all the featured items below the edit as well as more info about that awesome snowflake experiment.

Pop a comment below to let me know if you're looking forward to seeing more Edits and whether you have a go at the borax experiment!

Frozen-inspired Snow Flake experiment
This is a combination of science and craft so any kid of any age will love it and my 3yr old was OBSESSED. It's made from borax which you can pick up at Binn Inn or Mitre 10. These snowflakes also make perfect Christmas decorations and gifts too. Just swap the string for twine or a nice thread. There are endless ideas on what you can do with borax from making slime to cleaning your shower too!

You can find the original idea here

Ice Princess crochet doll pattern from PatchCatCrafts ($8)
This Ice Princess crochet doll is the cutest and is in fact a digital download pattern for $8. So if you've got a bigger kid in your life or a niece, this is something they might love to do over the summer holidays, or you might want to do it as a nice way to unwind. Either way, the PatchCatCrafts has a whole range of adorable patterns to make cute dolls/animals.

Winnie the Pooh printable art from Magnolia Lane ($11.50 for 4 prints)
These are such a fun set of prints. Magnolia Lane has some ridiculously cute posters for your kid's bedrooms too, especially if you're a fan of the beautiful watercolour animal or dinosaur prints.
